the problem here is as follows:
1. People asking about acche din - NO government, unless headed by you personally, is going to help you at the micro level. This means that people who expect that only the government is to blame when their groceries are costlier, or when the fuel prices fluctuate, are the ones who only watch TV, and nothing else. The State is a broad term. You cannot expect assistance for the smallest thing and then blame the government. Things are happening, and for the good.

2. People who read a few books here and there start to show off their political acumen and start giving 'informed' opinions. As i had already said, things are not as colored, easy or sensational as the news channels and some books show them to be. Criticism is good, but chutiyaap is not.

3. Sickulars, adarsh liberals and presstitutes are the rightly invented words for a section of people who themselves cannot do ANYTHING, but expect the government to do SOMETHING, and about which they have absolutely no idea about. But hey, it is a democracy, you have all the right to vomit shit. Carry on.

4. Likewise, the difference between BJP and INC is not absolute, but relative. BJP is relatively better than INC, and that is the only choice we have presently. INC is maximum crap, BJP is medium crap. But MODI is great.

5. On a different note, one can give n number of arguments/facts for and against the government, but the truth is that our opinions do not matter individually. We as humans have paid the cost of the transformation to civilization over time. It is a hard earned privilege. Problems and differences are bound to occur, but at the same time they must not be forced upon the society for no reason. Let there be calm for sometime.

6. Humans are fallible. Politicians are humans. MODI is a politician, so is ANTONIA. Hence both are fallible. Citing point no.4, MODI is a slightly less fallible than ANTONIA. This is what we should cherish.

Narendra modi will prove to be a disaster for this country. Mark my word. There are many reasons for this. First and prominent is he is someone who has more belief in good publicity than good work. Publicity is ok but when it becomes pith and substance of a govt its bad. It has been more than 15 months now and not a single substantial initiative by this govt to make life more livable for the common man. Second this govt is confused. There are not many brilliants brains in this govt. It has already started feeling the heat. Whether it is pakistan policy or land bill or its handling of bureaucrats the govt is utterly confused. Third, this govt has no medium term or long term vision. Modi is anything but a visionary leader. That such a facade is now pm of this country is in itself an ominous sign . Fourth, the nonsense this govt is doing with education causes the gravest heartburn to me. To start with to appoint such a person as hrd minister was itself the sign of things to come. And she has proved her critics totally right. Fifth the communal propaganda that this govt is pursuing can pose a serious challenge to the law and order in this country. And lastly the quality of leadership. Manmohan was not great but this man is worse. What does he do? Apart from giving hollow speeches, saying nonsense things, observing fasts, visiting temples etc. Also he is someone who only plays to the gallery. Above all he is mean, cheap, believes in taking revenge, a pervert who spies on women 30 years younger to him etc which makes him not at all inspiring.
