After hullaballoo; back to business. strategy and scheduling for mains GS

Its the sincere request to the seasoned and veterans to share their portion of knowledge and planning as to how the next 3 months would be split up. Discussing the nitty-gritty of gs topics.

  • Here is the Broad Outline Plan for Mains 2015 (added all material i have, if anything i get will post otherwise 90% things u will get it)
    People can choose n can be flexible as there wish, but myself try to stick to this one as much as possible.
    1. Will be dividing Sep & Oct in 15 days division with each 15 days for one Paper, so that u have covered your syllabus once atleast by Oct.
    2. Daily Answer writing atleast 1 question a Must is COMPULSORY. You can choose either InsighionIndia; or if u respond will post 1-2 question a day n whoever wants to write can write or Vineet Sir Whatusp Answer writing Group on Kiwipaper.
    3. Every one having different optional so One Month for Each Paper, so by Oct u are done once your Optional revision too.
    4. Try to analyse the important issues in news and if i guess Be Prepare with Basic terms more than Current as they will expect to do Current as per last year trend, so beware with this cause too.
    5. For GS-1 (15 days) ---> Divide 2 days Post Inde, 3 days World history, 2 days Culture, 2 Days Modern; 2 days Society and rest 4 days for revising n looking current part linking with them
    (For Post see Achievement by BJP govt like Pokhran test etc, as u know which is in Centre;
    For World History- see WW-2, Berlin War, Crimea War, Korean War etc and any event u heard in news from 2014 till now
    For Culture link with current like Navaelkalbara- Orrisa, Parrot Lady, Buddhist circuit etc and rest from NItin or notes whichever u follow for basic
    For Modern History- Just see more of Socialism part and basic events like 100 years of M Gandhi to India linking with Current
    For Society- basic defination from NCERTs and rest linking with Current fields, can include so many schemes n all )
    6. For GS-2 (15 days)--> 2 days Governance; 2- Constitution, 2- polity, 2- Social Justice, 3- IR rest 4 days Revision with Current linking
    (For Governance, Constitution, Polity, SJ try more relate with current along with basic understanding like NJAC analyse, Political parties not under RTI etc.
    For IR- read chokkalingam notes for those who get it, rest read NCERT for basic n rad IGNOU India & World to learn the history with all countries, then try to make links of all visit in terms of region-wise and then can make notes as how region work like going for UFA n Central Asia we came with SCO, EEU etc so how they gona help India etc.)
    7. For GS-3 (15 days) --> 2 days- SnT; 3 days- Economy; 3 days- Environment; 3 days- Security & DM rest for 4 days for revision and linking Current
    (For SnT just follow basic from ncert n rest from Current n Science reporter;
    For Economy, basic and Economic Survey mainly rest vision or mrunal notes for left out topics;
    For Environment try ICSE board 9-10, Shankar if already in touch with it; with Current
    For Security & DM- can go with current or CBSE on Disaster one 3 parts
    8. For GS- 4 (10 days)- Read 2nd ARC report on ethics in governance, then Lexicon for basic terms and try to do case study as much from mock test n all.
    9. For Essay (try to write atleast one essay per week and try to connect as much as you can from what all u study in a systematic flow)
    10. Do Hindi/Regional language writing also, remember if u fail in this u r gone.
    Then in Nov Just 1 week per Paper revision so u done with 1 more till Dec start and just revision of papers u might have written n all.
