Please guide for Mains

I have two doubt regarding my preparation of mains
1* I didn't read hindu from 20 july to 23 august - is it required now to do so or i should start from 24.08.2014
2* Is it worth to start GS test serias from 1.09.2015
3*which part i should start first my optional part ,World history, Post Independence, Ethics , Essay writing (As these are subjects which i could not concentrate due to prelims ) or i should start from what i knew first
4*also which magazines we have to read particularly for mains as from net i find a list of them
Please guide me as this will be my first mains

(1)hindu paper ias result ke liye precondition nhi hai . fir v aap chahe to jo chhuta hua hai vo padh sakte hai, time hai- editorial,economy,sc&tech related ,fir v nhi padhna chahe to monthly magzine padh le. (2) test series is good,if join from 1-9-2015(pt nhi hua to v). (3) first optional subject after gs is good stratgey,but its not necessary.(4) magzines -chronicle/ pd/ ,coaching magzine/news paper collections etc- koi ek hi.
