In prelim ask yourself "Why this question is here?"

Here are few things that I think can help you decide when stuck in between 2/3 options?
Ask yourself why this question is here? Is it because you are supposed to know this thing about this because its not a very specific knowledge?

2. What is the tricky part that the examiner is trying to test here?
Pick a question and try to apply this and see what you get.

3. Which of the option can be manipulated easily and is crucial to know?

4. If there is "none" option in geography then most likely its true..

Its a good point mentioned by @chemistry But it is risky to apply the above process at such short notice and that too in exam. It needs practice.

koi boht tough environment ka question aaye to dekh ke demotivate kabhi mat hona..often aise question ke option aise hote hai ki you can eliminate 2-3 of them...mere 2-3 question sahi hue the aise last year
