can anyone tell whats the qualification of Upendra sir? and result of his students?
I usually dont comment on this forum.but saw ur ques on many threads so wanted to reply. About his qualification- nobody knows and it does not matter also.qualification has nothing to do with d quality.e.g MR SUBHASH KASHYAP(yes d same u r thinkimg abt-renowned name in indian polity) started teaching in one of d coaching centres in muk nagar and was hugely disliked and had to leave.
Upendra has huge experience and is thought to be a legend in this field.i can bet ..u wont be dissatisfied if u join
Regarding result- u dont find his name in the hindu page 3 bcoz perhaps he is d sole teacher who does not advertise for his ciaching yet his batches never go empty.infact ppl struggle to get admission bcoz of his batches getting full very early.every yr ppl r there in top 20,50,100 from his batch. Few negatives- thiugh brilliant in paper 1 ...he doesnt finish paper 2 fully.but that can be managed.after doing paper 1 ...paper 2 is simply mugging up from few books.But mahaptra sir notes may be helpful
Now. Mahapatra vs Upendra....who is better....no definite answer.Upendra is definitely better in paper 1 and mahapatra in paper 2. Both have produced good result over d yrs. U hear more of mahapatra bcoz of huge batch sizes and vajiram being more professional in terms of advt. But upendra is also brilliant and wont disappoint u.
Upsc is dicey. And I feel sociology is dicey too. Had a strong feeling to leave it and pick up maths. But seems its not that bad. I knew where all I lacked that's the best part
concluded from the above discussion that Upendra is better in paper-1 and Mohapatra in paper-2.. so can it prepared if one gets both the notes coupled with harlambos and does thorough study.. Dnt want to spend 3-4 hours in doing coaching. please advice
Guys could you please suggest me the best test series for sociology? I am a working aspirant and not from delhi. I am confused between vision, bibhash sharma(sociologyias) and praveen kishore sir, as these are the ones who offer online option. I have completed my coaching from a local class in pune, felt it was satisfactory.
