  • does the increase in vacancies help us at all or is it only for the next exam on?
Only for 2014. Not before, not after.
    Thanks.
  • @Amrutha Exam center gains its actual significance during Mains exam. UPSC halls are the best centers for writing mains . Many of my friends who wrote mains from other centers faced many difficulties . So center becomes important when one has to write two subjective papers per day :)

Correct. UPSC seems to have some fixation on choosing primary schools as centres in Delhi. The desks are too small to be really comfortable.
  • @RDDR : Yes bro, for them writing Mains was a horrible experience. One more infrastructural issue was availability of toilets and drinking water facility. At one of the center there was only one toilet and candidates were waiting for their turns in a long queue just 5 minutes before the commencement of Mains exam. One can understand how uncomfortable the situation has been for the candidates at such centers.
  • People writing next prelims are more enthued now than the ones who have given interview. :-j
  • And this is the 1000th comment on this thread!
  • and this is the 1001th ;;)

My centre wasn't even a recognized school. It was a very testing experience- pun unintended.
