yes ..if something is expensive then ppl think the inherent value of product must be higher...and if u price a good product low then there is a perception that it is a sub standard product..in this case its a sub standard product priced very high just to cash in on existing reputaion one last time..
Its called "Giffen Goods".Exception to demand and price relations. :P
Giffen goods are daily necessities which u cannot ignore to buy even if the prices are high. however cl test series is an example of veblen good
