@Thor Thank you! @Pratikh Lol. So the news remains the same. 238 -vs- 219. As for "tomorrow", I hope the saying "Tomorrow never comes" doesn't stand true for long, w.r.t our results that is. @Orangutan Lol! I know man! I try my best to stay away from all the speculations, be it ForumIAS or Orkut. But the "trying" doesn't suffice it seems. Lol. I just hope curiosity doesn't kill the cat!

was going thru last year's cut off speculations made by members on forum ias itself...ppl were expecting scores in the range of 180-190-200 then...it actually turned out to be 209.....even a few guys frm here were also present in dat discussion....therefore this yr a cut off of 225+ looks realistic to me....lukin at so many ppl hovering around dat score.... (
Actually, last year was different because there were many(10-15) ambiguous questions/solutions for comprehension and decision making. So, no one was able to correctly tell their score. I expected 185, but got 200, and similar was the case with many people. You can hear from people who attempted last time - I was expecting X and I got X + k (k>0)
This year, it is not so. We know clear cut answers for most of the questions, only for a few in P1 we are unsure which was the case last year also.
@fallen_leaves I hope nothing kills the Cat. Serious animal lover here...!!! As my thumbnail and name suggests... Anyhow hopefully the result comes soon. Because I am on the verge of losing my mind. And I have a growing list of Books to read every damn day. So much backlog.
Nothing can kill a cat, even Schrodinger did not manage to do it unless he dreamed of quantum states. And CAT has killed me in turn 3 times in a row from 2006-2008 in VA.
I have utmost respect for CAT and Big CAT is the national animal as well
I have no insider information..this is just a calculated hunch..the paper being easier than the previous year's paper, cut offs would definitely be around 25 marks higher than last year's..i.e arnd 235..but if IRS seats do go up by around a 100, a few more ppl could get lucky..5-7 marks less maybe as the intake will go up by just 1200-1500 and there will be a cluster of people around the cut off score as always..so 228-230 my prediction.. PS: No insider information..My personal assessment..
@orangutan Lol! I too am a animal lover, a dog-lover to be precise. But this UPSC-monster is really taking the life out of all of us + all the speculations/rumors/blah blah. I have somehow completed reading 1-2 books in last 3-4 days, otherwise last ~15 days have been really wasted.
@Thor CAT ke sataye huye kafi hain is forum mein. Lol. ( Several forum members have been tormented by THE CAT ) Lets see when UPSC stops tormenting us!
Pun with the CAT. Nice. No matter how much I love the cat and the BIG CAT... I am not fond of the CAT that killed you. Not much of an MBA person. And no comments on Schrodinger. Physics was never my strong suit .
