In the name of socialism we all know what Stalin did, know what Mao did. The thing is our text book tell us only about Hitler.
I do not accept this notion that religions are altogether bad..usually modern theorist forget the great role religion played in pacifying the extraordinarily violent tribal society. It was religion which brought peace and established order in perpetually blood-soaked tribal society! Thing is that every institution gets frozen in time and needs to be constantly refined and reoriented according to the contemporary needs! This is where most of the religions fail but it doesn't make religions altogether bad.
At the same time I do also believe Marxism is second most important thing occurred to humanity after religion.
My point is anything which has occupied so vast mind-space of billions of humans for centuries can not just be a hogwash or just a figment of imagination. We need to contexualize these ideologies and institutions in historical relevance instead of arriving at any judgemental position in haste!

There has and always been a deep connection between physics and philosophy, because both at some point dwell into a common domain. Vedantic philosophy is just something physicists like, because it is another philosophy. So nothing especially cool about it. I would not like to indulge in counter commenting.
