hello everyone..... m preparing for upsc 2016 ...m belong to kalanaur a small town in Haryana..I have no guidence ,no coaching ..preparing for myself ..I have some doubt... 1- how should I read ncert ...should I read from pag e to page or should I from topic wise..like in geography should I read from 6 to 12 or should read in separate manner( physical , world ,Indian)? 2-should I prepare two subjects parrell .or start 2nd subject only after finish first one? 3- when should I read newspaper THE Hindu ?($ince I just started my preparation for upsc nd will give my attempt in 2016..). 4- when should I started notes making ? In my first reading or during revision ( sorry for such insane question bt m new in the, race of Upsc ) Please help me in clearing my doubt ..it will save my time
@tmroy 1 initially reading ncert page to page would be better. 2 the way you feel comfortable 3 I would suggest start reading newspaper from today itself. Initially complete focus should be on basics i.e. NCERTs so don't give more than 1 hour to newspaper. But since newspaper is the ultimate source so it would be better to get into habit of reading it. 4 making notes can hamper your understanding in first reading.
@manishpradeepsharma : take online subscription and download epaper in ur phone or store in a pendrive(assuming u mite have access to computer while teaching). Whenever you get small breaks while teaching , read it then . >-

Hii frnds wanted to know how much time you give to complete Laxmikant,ramesh singh and other standard books in first reading.I think i m giving too much time in my first reading.please help...
@Fc91forsure depends on how much time you want to devout...The idea is to get through the first reading with focus on understanding the concepts and repeat them 2-3 times (ideal is 5 times) and you should be ready to face the days... This is my strategy at the moment...
