  • is post se apne mautarma se devi ka asthan prapt kar liya. despot post. ^:)^ =D>
i do not face difficulty in reading most of the sections but this foreign relations and environment causes a good amount of trouble. thanks a lot for your erudite article.
  • Thanks @AA for the post :) i've been reading the paper regularly but haven't been making notes. I think its time I should start making notes.
  • Believe me if you will. Mains pattern will not change this year. V Narayanasamy called me up the other day to confirm this. And for those of you who still want to waste your time in speculation, please go ahead. Most probable reason for a delayed notification might be an increase in the number of posts under different services, including IAS, which UPSC is busy finalising. That's it.

@Jimmy Thanks! Appreciate your input! :)

    "Sarchasm"!

    1. Narayanasamy called you.
    2. The notification has number of posts which is approximate and can be changed later + Every year the number declared is not the number selected.
    3. 'Probable reason...' dude! Narayanswamy called, you still speculating? Why did you not ask him?
    4. 'Finalising post', as far as i know is not "unforeseen circumstances".

    Anyways, thanks for sharing! :)

    Sarchasm Rocks :P

+ @Jimmy receives a call from Narayanswamy ji and still not sure about the reason of delay

@Partho Dude, he hung up before I could probe him any further. :( And yes, UPSC comes up with an approximate number of vacancies. They might not even have an approximate number. Possible? UPSC need specific data even for an approximate number. Some states might not have responded before they could come out with the notification. Even I read "unforeseen circumstances" in the circular. I know what to make of it.

    :))
  • Isn't that a routine work for every year notification? :-? I don't think that is the reason for the delay.

Considering it is a government work process, there will be sufficient time gap between two events to cope up with any delay. Even if I have to take it as the possible reason - Don't you think it shouldn't take more than two days to get that number? :-??

Now for the sake of being crazy 8-} , here is another reason besides mains pattern change. :-@
The actual reason is the creation of Telangana. (and possible creation of separate states following that. :) ) So they are unable to get the exact number :)>-

    What an Idea Sirjee :P
  • Another reason might be that government doesn't want Afzal Guru to apply for the UPSC CSE 2013. That's why they delayed the notification. Since he is hanged yesterday, they will release the notification tomorrow. ~X(
  • The real reason is DPA's daughter is getting married. I got the shaadi ka card.
