This question dawned upon me all of a sudden, I remember someone telling me that people with tattoos and piercings are not allowed in the interview. Is that so?
Please enlighten me on this.
The question you should be asking yourself is, whether the common man will have faith in your capabilities as a civil servant, if you attend to their problems in your office, with piercings and tattoos. Trust me, they won't.

@khajoor Yes you are right people wont. Unfortunately, people might judge you on the basis of all this. Infact if I had an encounter with an IAS who has tattoos and weird piercings, I would boil down to this , that he ain't serious, he might be exceptionally talented but that wont be considered. Yay! Can you give interview in swim wears?
If you say no ,then why no, because if one can swim freely in swim wears then why cannot one give interview freely.
If you say yes we can give interview in swimwear,then i say yes ,you can show your tattoos to interview panel.Who is stopping you,its your tattoo ,its there to show off.

For your kind information sir, i am a doctor and that too with "TATTOOS" And yeah, during job time, patients trusted me, my seniors including my head of the department did not judged me just because i have tattoos. I was the most sincere medico of that department. So please come out of this narrow mindset.
