@sananthan,
@mango_dolly, and anyone else planning to retake the exam for a better rank-- first of all congratulations! While we are all probably disappointed at not making it into the coveted IAS, we must be grateful to have received a rank at all

This validates our preparation strategy, and proves that despite all the subjectivity that exists in the process, we still stand a chance.
I'm not sure how FC exemption would work this time, given that prelims results won't be out by Sep 1. Any ideas?
Also, what is a good book for world history (now that we know the level of questions being asked)? I could've done much better on those questions.

Can any history guy comment on them?
Yes, Arjun Dev is good
I have been a mute observer of this forum - so far.
So glad to see this thread on the forum! I mean usually it is how to crack this nut - and now we have champs here already discussing the strategy for the next step - improving the ranks.
Great job guys and wish you all the best!
If you wanna write it this time, I think taking FC exemption would be sufficient, no need to go for EOL (assuming they give FC exemptions, like last time).
