Stealth technology, i guess is the technology which make fighter planes and warships invisible to radar. Key components are materials which diverge the acoustic sounding waves emitted by radar. I guess india still doesnt have stealth technology, we are in process to acquire one from russia.

I would have told them about submarines making some stupid analogy in my mind
@rookie@sananthan guys, i have second hand info to support my view. I recently spoke with an IPS probationer whose friend told the panel that he didn't know the answer, for 8 straight factual questions and still managed to score 200+. If I like to play hockey (I do) and don't know about the recent changes introduced in the game, then it is a sin. But to not know what components are used by stealth technology or for that matter the positions taken by the economists in the debate should be alright.
Bro if we are asked some factual questions like " the origins of ODI " and we cant answer that its alright.. but certainly not the Sen- Bhagwati debates. Firstly, this debate was all across the newspapers and news channels a couple of months back ( there was also a thread created in this forum regarding that), Secondly, in upsc language of "well educated youth" if we cannot answers such factual questions then it will definitely create a bad impression on the board. In the ndtv debate while I was watching one of the episodes, the anchor started by saying something like this - " the old debate between sen and bhagwati has again come to the limelight.... " - This itself shows that this topic is not something new, created a couple of months back but something much more older! So this is exactly the current affairs which we need to work on for interview.
Regarding the stealth technology, India has it in its military. For example, some missile frigates and destroyers the Navy has are stealth. India however doesn't have a fighter aircraft which is stealth but its is currently developing in association with Russia. It is called the T- 50 it is a FGFA and it can fly in stealth mode.
stealth ka lia ak to aircraft ma wings ki bjay missiles internal weapon bay mai hote hai take uska rcs radar cross section decrease kiya ja ska second usma Special coating ki jati hai jo absorb kar leti hai EM waves ko third aerodynamics shaping of body and its airduct is trah sa ki jati hai jo reflect na kare em waves aesa radar hota hai aur advance avioncs data fusion ka lia
Stealth technology question for two reasons : 1> One of the conspiracy theories behind missing MH370. 2> This technology was handy when US-NAVY SEAL hit Osama bin laden inside Pakistan (old incident but unforgettable one)
technology : Hide from radars : how ? >special coating material ; >design such of air craft reflects less to radar signals; >flying low ;
>India - RAFALE -fifth Generation Flight deal was one such a thing.
> we donot have one and defense definitely need such technologies.
Isnt sound emitting thing sonar and not radar....stealth as far as I know involves special painting which as far as I knw contains some compounds of iron (fe)...it distorts the em wave signature emitted by radar... then there is special design which deflect the radar waves in different random directions... u can see the us bat shaped aircrafts having triangular pyramidical shapes...those are stealth design... beyond this no idea

Basic concept is that, waves emitted from Radar/Sonar do not reflect back to base stations so that it can lead to detection of enemy ship/aircraft. It includes: a) Materials that can absorb waves b) Shape which can deflect waves in arbitrary dirction c) Emitters which can introduce noise in signals
