EWS certificate for DAF

Hi,

I qualified for Mains. I couldn't get the EWS certificate dated before 1st August as the process started really late in my block. It is still pending but they have assured me that I'll get it in another 2 days. But, the CSE rules say- It must be made before 1.08.2019.

What should I do? I have sent an email regarding this to the UPSC DAF helpline email but haven't received any response. Will my candidature be rejected? Not able to sleep at night. Please advise.

same situation here bro. i haven't even applied for EWS certificate yet. i thought upsc was lenient and will give time till interview but now it's no way out. DAF doesn't even allow to change category back to general. many aspirants are in similar situation. UPSC site is saying they will modify the DAF for EWS category aspirants and new format/solution will be available after august 6. lets hope for the best. get your certificates as soon as you can. and those who applied in EWS category but couldnt/ might not get certificate due to various reasons, future doesnt look too bright for us.

We both are going to upsc office on Monday.. Anyone willing can join us.. More voices will lead to more seriousness and thinkover by upsc.. And some leniency

Bro, Where have they written that the form will be modified for EWS category students? Did you check with the UPSC office?
