Nothing is predictabke in life.Even richest man cant say he can predict his future..health ..family ..death..Future is always unpredictable. Its just a state of mind.Do what makes you happy.Go ddep diwn in your heart and ask what do i want to be ...what do i want to do. We live only once..
if you are quitting bcz of unpredictability i wud say dont do. If you are quiting bcz u think its not worth the risk and hardwork then go on.its your choice and remain happy with it.
"Never give up" is just a quote. If for even a single moment you think that you can do something more meaningful with your life, quit the preparation. It's really unwise to place a bet on your carrier if you're 27+ in age. Work on a solid backup,and I don't mean short term carrier like copy checking at an institute but a long term carrier plan and make CSE a secondary choice. The pattern of exam is really conducive now for working aspirants. I was in the same dilemma 9 months back when my mains results were to be announced. I started working full-time on my alternative carrier but luckily got in. More than anything this exam gives you a false sense of complacency and superiority,that you are doing something which an ordinary person can't do. While the truth is after three years of preparation neither you are adding anything to your knowledge nor to the family or society. Deep down we know it ourselves, just not accept it overtly.

23,25,27 doesn't matter. I just celebrated my 27th birthday and nothing like a seismic change happened on that day. I just gave an arbitrary cutoff after which a person wants as less unpredictability in his life as he can. He wants to settle down, have a constant source of earning, have few but good friends, maybe get married etc. I understand in a cosmopolitan environment these things tend to get postponed a bit, but after devoting a certain amount of time towards someone you need to get a move on and not get stuck. All I mean to say is make CSE a secondary choice for now. Focus on some other exams. But do not, I repeat do not waste your time waiting for the result. If you want to prepare for banking exams join a cheap coaching just to keep the flow. If you want to join private sector,start sending your resumes and learn some specific skills. I met @Neyawn recently at tea point. He said a very important thing which struck immediately- if you have a choice between doing something and not doing anything then always "do something".
