bhailog...what constitute presenatation in a ans...almost every test paper of mine coming with annoying comment...improve presentation ....please anyone..elaborate this illusion..
Require Some Guidance to Boost Marks from 390 to 440+ in G.S ?? .I feel that I am on the same boat as last year...
Sit with a group of friends, who have appeared for the interview 2-3 times or those who have secured ranks 1-2 times, and show them your answer, they will be able to immediately tell you.
390 is not a good marks according to last year. Almost everyone who had an interview call, did get around 410+/- 10.
Average score for 2016 Mains would be 430+.
Download Toppers Copies and see what they did, and try too identify a pattern, for example, do you see a pattern in the copies I have put for download?

First up ,Thanks for replying.Ya I could find out few mistakes 1) Not giving proportianate time to all qns (i.e rushing through 5 qns in last 30 mins) 2) Depth of knowledge is lacking 3) Not writing enough points rather than elaborating few. 4) Non or no diagram or flowcharts (has tried few in Vision test series and Essay -> Essay wale ne check hi nahi kiya kaat diya saare flow chart ,vision also not appreciated diagrams in art and culture )
Hi.....can someone please suggest me effective solution to the answer writing i feel .... We know that syllabus is a wast one of all GS and the i have geography. Ideally i must have completed at least world history and optional but i have been able to do only a quarter of my optional and some tit bits of GS. And while i want to start answer writing practice now but then feel kind of inhibited-ness. Reason being that i feel that let syllabus be finished once and then answer writting because then things automatically structure in mind. But from past 2 attempts, getting only average or may be below average marks. How should i manage the two things. Please suggest the method.
Please suggest some solution. I had also written like 15 tests of vision last year and got 400 exact marks in GS which are average. Now i want to improve my score. This is the time i think is best to practice but again feel the urge of completing syllabus first which is leading me to same method i followed last year. Someone please guide me.
Take secure or IAS baba tlp.Select 10 questions from topics you have prepared.Write them in time limit.Meanwhile finish those topics which are remaining.Write answers on topics 3-4 days after you read it.This way not only will you write more, you'll be able to revise more too as writing is a form of revision. All the best.

Every topper's copy has-
-clarity of thoughts -very simple language used (no jargons) -every part of question answered separately (makes it very easy for examiner to check) -know something about everything
How to increase writing speed? I am still taking 11 minutes per Question in the first hour This results in messing up of answers in last hour.
That is one problem that needs a scientific solution.
I mean, I am aware that slow handwriting is a killer. And *just practise more* is not a solution. You have already done that.
Goto some guy who teaches calligraphy, and ask him if he can help improve the speed or so.
I aware of people who have been successful in doing so. In fact there is a teacher in Chandigarh who provides such training. Some Mr. Ray.
One of the people I work with has been able to improve both handwriting and speed by taking help.
It's high time you seek professional help.
In case you choose not to work on it, then the best thing to do is pray that paper is tough. So everyone leaves many questions and you have an edge.
In case the paper is easy, everyone is going to write 20 questions while you may be stuck at fifteen, running, or at least disturbing your chances.
But do something. If there is a problem, there. Must be a solution. And someone must have solved it before you. So you have no new invention or discovery to make.
