  • Rbi grade b is coming in mar/apr
Bhai ye to sep/Oct main hota hai... Is baar early hai kya ??... @jaisiyaram
Isko backup mat banana.this is more unpredictable than upsc especially if u are from non financial background
    +1
Paper 3 of Phase 2 involves studying Financial management which is not as easy as it looks.
JAIIB/CAIIB candidates/MBA/Financial Management folks have a upper hand here!
You should sit for the exam but keep your expectations low! And work hard!
This theory of upper hand holds no water. Eg-People with history graduation often get their ass kicked by people from other backgrounds. Same is true else where. No doubt more effort will be rqd but considering ki yaar yaha toh mba walo ka hi hoga.. humara kuch nahi is first step from getting out of the race. B)

I appreciate the enthusiasm but these are real constraints which cannot be looked over.

Tell me, do you know anything about financial ratios?About bond maturity calculations?About risk management theories in banking?
For the average learner, learning this properly takes time.

Its not a one week job. You'll have to define the study material(which itself is a tough task) ,practice a bit, watch videos and then develop confidence. All this will consume time and mental energy(without contributing much to UPSC prep).

On the other hand, folks who have done this will rrevise rather than read new material, practice more and spend time in other scoring areas.

Also, thinking from a perspective of an employer, who would you choose: an candidate with some financial know-how or a UPSC aspirant which has been preparing for many years.UPSC prep is not a degree. Its not work experience.

It can be done but requires time ,effort and strong will. Not really a simple back up job.
But yeah never count yourself out of the race!

WE are talking about civil service aspirants keeping rbi as backup option.u won't be able to devote that much time to rbi prep since u would be sailing in two boats at same time.
But with full time prep and with reservation anything is possible
  • Iss thread pe sabhi logon ne apne-apne suggestions de diye. All of which are indeed full of wisdom and experience.

But, thread creator ka kuchh aata-pataa nhi hai. Everyone is typing for his benefit only. And he is nowhere to be seen.
