If you people don't mind, I was thinking of solving all the papers from 4 institutes for prelims. Vision, insights, baba and forum. Along with Vision CA. Shouldn't this be enough, and save time? Just asking, if anybody can comment?!? (I have given this year's prelims, getting around 111)
All 3-4 of us have been scoring around 105-115. So, as of now, whats enough can't be said. Take time and analyse. Was it current where you lacked or the static or was it merely lack of solving test papers. Rest others may suggest.
What all sources do you refer to frame these questions? Are they based on daily current affairs or it is random like static and current all mixed up?
Current as of now. Like i am taking up the pib news of august month. Laal salam and stable graphene perhaps take up from The Hindu. Hyderabad77 perhaps frames questions from both pib and TH.

I think inadequate CA, since CA was too much and I'm not so good at guesswork? So ill have to do as many test series as possible.

Anyways, thanks.
yea we will be solving questions as much as possible. from vision, insights and forum here itself all through the year. plus we frame our own question sometime when we read something and find important from prelims point of view. there is no definite pattern of mistake. like i did some silly mistake too, i was able to solve some of typical questions in the exam but committed mistake in question like rajya sabha majority one and agenda 21 question which i knew perfectly. also i forgot to mark 3 questions in omr i marked in question paper. so 120+ wasn't difficult in the paper. my point is it was possible for me coz i solved papers of insights last year and solved a lot of questions on forum thread along with others a month before prelims. after a limit you cant remember much from static portion. you'll have to find which portion we are missing from our static preparation and cover it up by solving questions more and more + current preparation is must. so, find your faults and work on that. we'll be working on that too. aiming for min 150 is the only thing we should keep in mind.
What all sources do you refer to frame these questions? Are they based on daily current affairs or it is random like static and current all mixed up?
bhai I mix it up because upsc do so. like tomorrow alka sirohi was appointed chairman of upsc, so i asked question based on article of appointment and article dealing with constitution of upsc and term of its members because upsc will never ask who was recently appointed its members like it did in the case of chief secretary question which was in news last year. one question here and there: makes a lot of difference. So better walk with time regularly and we'll be at finish line within a set limit.

@awmpuia_renthlei bhai, we will solve questions from these institutes and then by jan or feb start revising the syllabus. by then we will be able to remove our deficiencies in static portion through test papers.
