@srinath Thnx bro. I appreciate yr frank perspective. We just have to hold on. Even i was working before. Was in govt job. Left job to prepare full time, as I was unable to devote time fr studies. Good luck. 220-230 z a good score. U are also ahead of probable cut off. Just give it yr best shot at mains.
2013 :- Now the speculations can start on day/date based on above pattern [if u can depict]
2008- 14 Aug-Thu ----> 88 Days 2009- 4 Aug- Tues----> 79 Days 2010- 19 Aug- Thu----> 88 Days 2011- 18 Aug- Thu ----> 67 Days 2012- 28 July- Sat ------>69 Days
Nice work people! Going by past two years, we can expect it around 2nd Aug. But then previous years did not have the additional constraint of IFoS. UPSC has to get it out of the way early because their mains are, I think, in first week of September, and they'd have to fill DAF and all that. So it might come next week itself. Let's see
Going by the above analysis, There are 2 patterns :-
One, is pre-csat :- before 2011 i.e 2010 and before results used to come in more than 80 days (generally) Second , is after arrival of csat in prelims :- Due to this , scaling prob is prelims is reduced, n UPSC ha started giving results in around 2 months ( say 65-70 days) , going by the above pattern.
If result comes on 27th July, It will be 63 days. If it comes on 3 Aug , it will be 70 days. Lets see how it turns out to be..

Ah, a bell curve would put it in the first week of August.
Both dates 27 july and 03 aug fall on sat...is it something tht upsc declares result on saturdays? But if we see last year result dates(as given above)..max times it is Thu!!
