@Emptiness take proper care of your health dude.. i fell sick in April(not because of my timetable, sth else wast the reason), had to spend a night at the hospital my prelims suffered a lot because of that i didn't revised eco... 10 days were completely wasted... i took a leap of faith and took the exam... its my first attempt i graduated last year from Kirori mal college, we used study like thhis during college days(read night), at night we would go to paranthe wala and had parantha and chai... ORN me to raat ko kuch milta hi nahi...
anyways as i said dont push too hard take adequate sleep... your grey matter needs to relax to function properly...
Exactly. I've painted over the glass in the windows in my room to keep the "goddamn" light out. My exam prep working / waking hours are 6pm to 10-11 am. Pretty sure I'll not suffer from jet-lag if I make it to the IFS - pretty well synchronized with foreign time zones. :P
i have sticked newspapers... hehe but the cleaning lady comes at 10am and wakes me up... i just let her do her work while i sleep... someday she will robe me for sure :-SS ... i dont have any problem with roomates as they dont exist, also have a penthouse(kind of) but the guys living at the lower floor woke me up few days ago at 8 am, can you believe it! if i had a chainsaw then it would have been texas chainsaw massacre...

News paper was my old idea. Got too dusty and not nearly sufficiently effective. Decided to take permanant action. :P The cleaning lady does my room only in the evening - all synchronised
Ok... it's getting late in the morning. Sun is up. Going to bed for today. Catch you tonight. Good day; sweet dreams.
I too am a night owl. But it's more of a compulsion than a choice. I suffer from chronic insomnia since school days and my problem is I can't sleep when I need to.
In college my insomnia actually became a boon to me. I never slept before any exam and easily score B+ or A sometimes with one night's study. But competitive exams are different ballgame altogether. I recently appeared ESE ( 3 days long exam with paper on both shifts )this year and could not sleep properly although I wanted to. And I could perform only 70 to 75 percent of my true capabilities. This happened JEE too.
So my point is however cool and geeky being nocturnal may seem, if you can't change your sleeping habits easily, you might end up paying a price in Mains exam which will last for 5 days, without any gap, with two written (not objective) papers each day.
And most of the time people will not let you sleep. I sleep around 3 AM and maid rings my bell at 7 AM everyday and at that time it feels as if someone has shot a gun near my ear. Some time I can't sleep after that. At 10 I force myself to go to office. I have a headache 3 out of 5 weekdays. I feel tired all the time. Not sleeping properly really takes a toll on health and every aspect of it.
Hmm night time study best suits me..though it depends on the individual..2 hrs just after the lunch are the most unproductive hours of my day ;;) so i sleep off after 1 hour of having lunch..for all practical reasons i start studying at 6 30 after having coffee.. ~O) that would continue till 4 am ofcourse with a lot of breaks in between and a cup of green tea with lemon and honey at 1 am.. ;;) that is both refreshing and healthy
