edited February 2015 in Social, Tips & Support
I have observed many people commenting past 1:00 AM.

All hail to night birds just like me =D>

Share how you are maintaining good health inspite of sleeping late night and also how you are maintaining momentum throughout the night as i am getting ill

day-by- day.

I am told that it's not good to read past 12:00 AM.Is it true ?

Other seniors here,your insights please

  • Night birds are Awesome!!

    \m/
  • study late at night if YOU are comfortable with it, not because we do...
i study till 3 or 4 in the morning, i love the silence... but when your exam starts getting close, start changing your habit or you'll feel sleepy during the paper.
also have something to eat at night, don't stay hungry and enjoy the night life!

@Emptiness : We may have gotten off on a wrong footing (my bad) but hope to catch you around these parts sometimes at night. I just cannot study one line as long as there is daylight out. :) Night-owling all the way.
  • Till 4 am :-O .. Even 10:00 pm makes me sleepy
  • Till 4 am :-O .. Even 10:00 pm makes me sleepy
Just like 10:00 AM makes me sleepy... :P
  • 10 am??? omg! thats like the middle of the night
  • @sinha47 Actually i feel very comfortable reading in the night, though my 3 roommates always asked to switchoff the lights :D they were like :((

My college starts at 8:40 in the morning and i study upto 3:00 AM.My health is degrading.I think beacuse too

much of reading ncert's on laptop.

Though it is weird, can u suggest something to be healthy b-( I cannot manage sleeping more because paper reading

itself is taking 4 hours as i am in the initial stages.

@srinath @Arindamsarkar yeah and can u suggest too.

Exactly. :D I've painted over the glass in the windows in my room to keep the "goddamn" light out. My exam prep working / waking hours are 6pm to 10-11 am. Pretty sure I'll not suffer from jet-lag if I make it to the IFS - pretty well synchronized with foreign time zones. :P
  • The best feel is to take bath at 12:00 and have a coffee, :)
  • @Emptiness - class at 8:40 am. Are you in DU ?
Well if yes, then you don't need to worry- this is the standard timetable (sleeping at 3- 4 am) for so many students, espc the hostellers.

try taking a nap in the afternoon after having a heavy lunch, this way your body will get enough rest. Sleeping for 6-8 hours is very important. When and at what time you sleep depends on personal choice!

Also as @sinha47 mentioned abv. revert to the standard timetable- sleeping at night- working in the day as the exam approaches!
