@Ekalavya considering you didnt study english till class, struggled a lot in completing class 12..the entire story has been written in very good english
2008: graduated from IIT 2006-2011: younger sister suffered from deadly disease.. 8 surgery later compromised her limb at age of 18 in. Jan 2011.
2011: changed mindset..left corporate life..Upsc struggle begin Attempt #1 : appeared after 1 month prep..coming out of family tragedy.. Prelims failed
2011: father suffered stroke 2 days after diwali
2012: attempt #2: failed in Hindi compulsory paper
2013-14: attempt #3: father suffered brain hemorrhage.. Stayed in comma for 2 months..expired 15 days before interview.. Got 110/275 in interview
2014-15: attempt#4 :prepared from hometown.no newspaper..poor GS prep: optional + essay =411, GS + interview = 470... Total 881..reserve list?..god knows (missed forest list by 14 marks)
2015: attempt #5: poor mains..esp 1st essay and optional paper..little hope (failed to qualify for forest mains)
2016: packup..being realistic.. Had enough shot at it...4 interviews (2 civil +2 forest)....life is much bigger then being just running after a job.
But I find it stupid when people say UPSC RUINED their life...Upsc didn't invite u..for put u under bonded labour..take responsibility for ur decisions and actions...give ur best shot and move on when u r convinced u HV worked hard enough!

Yadi kabhi main CSE clear karne mein Kaamyaab raha to zarur yahaan Publicly main bhi meri Sangharsh ki Daastaan share karunga .........Haalaanki zyada koi kathin Jeevan nahi raha hai mera ...Aaram se hi raha hoon main abhi tak , har tarah se , .....lekin jo bhi kuch Jeeya hai maine Jeevan mein , wo share zarur karunga , agar main kabhi Safal ho jata hoon to ......
2010: failed prelims 2010 july: diagnosed axilery neuritis, a nerve damaged- right arm muscles damaged, could not write properly, could not lift arm properly.
2011: Because of the extend of damage, a doctor advised to get disability certificate, he was ready to give me one- said this will help in cse exam also. I was determined not to go that way n be physically fit. I kept struggling.
2011 : wrote prelims n cleared it. Pain was a part of my life. 2011 july: my sister diagnosed blood cancer in 3rd stage, i bundeled my books n a new struggle started. Had all the responsibility as i have not brother. she was admitted from july to nov 2011. Though i cleared prelims but couldnot prepare, failed mains in 2011.
2012: running from tata mumbai to rgcri delhi to himachal tibetan to kerala vaidya to himachal panjopad to chail himachal etc many places to get her cancer treated. Failed prelims
2013: cleared prelims bcoz of csat, scored only 67 in gs paper. Didnot study a single day as my sister was admitted in june itself n was very critical. 22 oct 2013: my sister expired. I wrote mains but as usual i could not clear
2014 feb: Joined a company n then news came out that govt is giving 2 more chances to general candidate. Again cse ka keeda kaatne laga. Cleared prelims n mains. Failed interview
2015: failed prelims. Still living with enormous pain but my hand is recovered. the doctor who wanted me to get a disability ccertificate is proved wrong.
life took extreme tests: my father, my body, my career, my sister, our finances(cancer treatement is really costly), but i didnot gave up. Life is all abt struggle, one should never never give up.
Remember: only the best quality of iron faces maximum temp. in the furnace

Going through this thread I realised the essence of four noble truths(चत्वारि आर्यसत्यानि)- 1.Sabbam Dukham -Life is full of sorrow.(UPSC) 2.Dukha samudaya- There are causes of sorrow.(UPSC) 3.Dukha nirodha-This sorrow(UPSC) can be stopped. 4.Dukha nirodh gamini pratipada-There is a path leading to the cessation/annihilation of sorrow(UPSC)
