I didnt clear prelims. In a similarly sticky situation. I knew I wasn't getting through but the result has left me shattered nevertheless. Prepared with CSAT in mind but they changed the format. And I couldn't keep up. Not my cup of tea it seems. I think I will need a few days to clear my mind. As it is the comparisions with others who got through will start.
Failed pre second time in a row. Was getting 104-112 by various keys. Might have missed by a thin margin. Goes without saying, devastated. Promised to myself will give only 2 attempts. And now I know this exam is not meant for me. I am very confused what to do next. Don't even have a proper resume to apply anywhere. Can someone please tell if any link that informs about state PCS exam date approaching? Would be great help. But that's secondary. My primary aim is to get myself a job. Started preparing immediately after passing out from college. I am not sitting jobless at home for sure though. Anybody in similar situation? What do you plan to do next? Your thoughts are welcome.
Mine was 2nd attempt.was expecting 102-205 Gave mains last year. I will give another attempt. Presently I am working as IES,don't want to leave job. However will take long leaves as soon as my training phase gets over.

Failed twice in a row...30+... This time expected to clear with 100 marks. Now left with last attempt. After 5 year of service and 2 year of gap I find myself in a dilemma as what to do ....should I go for my last attempt or get back to job
So I am out. this was my fouth attempt. Wrote mains in the csat era. Left no stone unturned for this attempt. Daily insights writing, test series for optional etc bla bla and shit happpened! Given two interviews back to back in state psc. Failed there too. Was preparing full time after my b.tech(2011). This exam has a lot of luck factor involved and failiure here is too hard to digest, moreso for guys under similar condition as me. I will be 27 soon with no job, no security, living on my parent's hard earned money. Fèels like shit. After all those years of toiling hard now back to square one. Friends settled abroad, some married, ex gf too went abroad for masters. This is a hell of a life. But nevertheless all these things are expected when we choose to plunge into this uncertain BLACKHOLE called upsc. Friends list out some options for job avenues(as its a long time for 2016 to come).
I work in an oil & gas maharatna for last 2 yrs.......This is my 2nd attempt and could not clear prelims this time. My colleagues and boss know about my prep and keep asking me how is my prep. I am devastated.....I have been the worst performer in my batch and have fought with several seniors who wanted me to lick their boots. I don't know what to do nxt. Either to leave the job to prep for nxt yr or continue in the shithole.
