Mathematics optional for IAS mains 2015

In this group we will help each other to score more and more marks in mains and together we succeed. Math is a very tough subject i know, but if we are passionate about this subject this will fetch us a very high score as compared to other subject. This is the only subject in which there is a chances of scoring more than 70% marks with the help of proper dedication and guidance.

Comments

  • @Furtilal_Fatafat Not to discourage you or anyone for that matter but we should assume that maths would fetch us around 50%(and not 70%) marks after moderation (for which we have to attempt more than 85%) like other optionals and we have to score around 325 marks in GS+essay to be selected for interview. Sole reliance on Maths and neglect of GS has been the biggest mistake committed by some aspirants this time around

Yes you are right that we need inspiration from each other to cover such a fast syllabus, so there is a thread already up and running to discuss problems/issues: http://forumias.com/discussion/1439/mathematics-optional-for-upsc-mains
