the words "will remain" in the notification are dicey ....it has become like the doubtful RC questions whose correct answer we get to know only when UPSC releases answer key ... so I guess we should wait for the notification !!!
Minimum qualifying marks as there have been always for both papers. Only that is being said in pib news... No change has been made....so close this thread..... Unnecessarily making sesensation...
is there any data regarding 2013 , 2012 marks in paper 1 csp ? like ssc which uploads the marks of all candidates in pdf ? this way i can get a rough estimate regarding where i stand ?
also any guesses for estd cutoff for 2012,2013,2014 ?
if anyone has such a data msg me the file , i will run some code to get avg marks etc ?
What will take these bureaucrats to add a simple line that if the marks scored in paper2 will be counted or not? Why they show their skills in this very important circular. That guy who prepared this press release must be sued for creating needless confusion among aspirants.
get 66 in CSAT & forget it .. no marks will be counted .. for example .. the way English & regional language is considered in mains !! just clear the exam .. no marks will be counted !!
So, for now the devil called optional remains for 2015 exam???? I don't give a damn to this CSAT news as its presence/absence never bothered me. But this optional is a huge worry. Shifted from Pub ad to Agri and working on Agri like a PG student. But fears remain. This is where I feel protestors have been really short-sighted. Perhaps you guys didn't go through the mains pain or you are all oblivious of the dangers of a subjective evaluation and selective butchering. When govt was in such a defensive mood and waiting to be bent, a golden opportunity was wasted to eradicate the biggest scourge called optional from this exam.
