Getting CSAT weightage reduced is the best soltuion currently. People are worried about only the severe disadvantage CSAT gives. Let us be honest, People can improve their GS,Beyond a point scoring in CSAT is impossible. Morover the Reading comprehension are not 10th level, they are close to GMAT level. By reducing the weightage of CSAT , we can give people an equal advantage. Today, we find people clearing the exam based on CSAT scores only. This has also resulted in poor main scores. I wish the goverment discusses with the LBSNAA team to understand if the quality of probationers has gone down due to CSAT. Goverment has to do this excercise, to verify the whole CSAT Weightage theory.
GOI should come out with an IQ test on the lines of Stanford Binet. Those who end up getting less than 130 should be barred from filling up the civil services form. For state services 110 should be the cut off ( that's the higher end score for the average people). We don't need retards in civil services. GS paper can be done away with in prelims as it is tested extensively in mains.
@criccriccric100no@Vagaivel@PongadaDei@Kalaparinda i completely agree with your views. I am also not for completely removing csat, but right balance should be striken. everybody knows what happens with gs.
A movement in down south is enough to shake govt and let the delhi come down. Especially tamil , telugu kannada aspirants Who got affected by csat.. see the numbers for yourself. No of students getting selected for mains drastically reduced in telugu and tamil speaking area.. i hope govt considers the issues that people are facing with csat.

It's not about what background people had in their graduation. I don't think csat is favoring science/engg guys. For a moment think about what I am going to say now. People failing csat are those who would have failed a similar exam in class 10th(obviously competing with other students of the same age). It's just that in our country bright students go for science/ engg and fools( mostly but not all) go for humanities. Such is not the case with most western countries. Csat seperates fools from smarts....no way it's discriminating between sets of students.

Obviously you are dumb enough to not understand what I was trying to communicate. That's why you people perform miserably in reading comprehension section. My comment was for guys who have something in their brains, not for you.

It's easy to see who is stupid here......a guy crying for removal of csat or someone who is already in the service and appeared for the interview again this year. No more arguments from my side. God bless you. Bye.
