  • i think taking sociology( if there is interest in it) is good thought to score more marks as optional alone amounts to 500!!

  • thank you @ankit1177 posting such a useful one
  • A book list to study those topics would be helpful. :)
  • I think Sociology as aubject will matter in exam, taking into account its relevance in essay......and its wider scope in gs.....
  • Bhai Nice-ias walo ko phone karte hai k itna de hi diya....booklist bhi de do....
  • Waise suggestion bura nahi he. :)

Agar kuch nahi kaam aaya toh wahi karna padega lagta he. :(
  • Yeah socio portion is huge in GS, I think we should be able to find most topics in Socio Paper 2 syllabus. The notes of which we can find Vajiram etc ke. What do you say guys with socio optionals?
  • @MatruMandola, you're right. it's mostly paper 2. I think vaji notes with kurukshetra, yojana should be good enough.
  • i have never liked the idea of taking an optional just because it has some part in gs....sociology syllabus is much vaster than gs subtopics which wont need specialised knowledge from any optional anyways....imo one should go for a subjetc he is comfortable and well off with than just based on it have a few topics in a gs paper....imo these topics would have analytical questions which dont need a sepcialised knowledge of a particular subjetc..so i hope people are not blinded by gs when taking an optional which still has almost half the marks of gs....
