Can anyone help me in speeding up my laptop because it has really slowed dOwn after installing windows 8.1 pro...though i hv a 3 gb ram....the internet browser windows take ages to open...if i want to read on internet and oPen multiple windows laptop starts hanging up.... I have tried evrythin i cud think of...removing the antivirus...deleting temporary files...
So can anyone tell me a way out apart from formatting..

I am using it on 1.6 GHz processor with 1.5 Gb ram with 8.1 and its doinig fine. You should reinstall the windows and give more space for C:/ drive and reduce the startup apps

i have a spare laptop with pentium QC processor n3530 and 2 gb ram as you can see a humble configuration and its working ok with win 8.1 pro...dont open too many tabs while using chrome not more than 4.i started using mozilla because of delay in chrome start up and its has been better/faster experience than chrome on this low config. system
Install one good anti malware or advanced system care. scan the system to check any malware or adware. then install a good anti virus ( norton). Defrag your discs ( using the native windows method or use defrag software). Change the virtual page size. Your system will run like a clean slate.

+1 install a good anti-malware (not a complete antivirus) , regarding chrome - clean the cookies and cache , It happens sometimes that the tab take time even on 34 mbps speed ... but chrome' sync gives the best way to manage online data on pc and android.
I have purchased acer wid window 8.1 through online. Lekin usme micromax modem kaam nhi kar rha. Anybody tell how to rectify dis problem i m new to using laptop.
