@Manjyot i think its fine but i suggest atleast read the editorials and op-ed page from hindu from.internet they are really a piece of gem you should not miss them.all other infos are already covered by Indian express
@vstoljockey yeah ohkk i understood and thanks for answering but like what are the important things like what are the points which are to be noted from these editorials?? and how is it useful for the exams? cos i am covering other imp. news on daily basis just wanted to know about editorials?
@Manjyot editorials are mainly on hot burning issues which may be asked in mains or essay even helps you in interview as nowdays more ques are opinion based you have to pick mains points gist of the issue
note -* if u find it important ,not all editorials are important which u able to differntiate with time.* in upsc u have to be balanced in your ans you have to include al aspects of a issue
I also wanted to know that in news articles /editorials there are some words like the difficult ones impinges, apathy, infringe etc so it is imp. that in essays or mains one shud use such words or can we even use its meanings like impinges means effects and does using such meanings of the words effect marks. Do let me know very confused!!!
@Manjyot yaar honestly speaking high frequency words do not fetch any extra marks for you. its your content and the overall framework of your answer which can. just you have to keep few things in your mind that are: legible handwriting, correct spelling, correct grammar and appropriate word (it does not mean simple or tough word). but my dear friend i must say something, the words you have mentioned are very simple. so i suggest you one thing that do some work on vocabulary to an extent to read and understand a newspaper properly.
@indian111 really thanks bro for solving my issue but actually those words which i mentioned was just an example and yeah ur suggestion was actually rite vocabulary improvement do u have any suggestions to improve it, do let me know and @anurag thanks to u as well i follow Indian express daily as well as make notes!!
