67 is just terrible. This means even if someone gets 100 in p2, he/she may get somewhere between 130 to 150 on an average. So, most of pub ad people who give competition will be in between 130 to 150. So unless they score very good in GS, they won't even give competition in top 300 ranks. And even if one of the GS papers or essay go slightly haywire (like scoring 15 to 20 marks less than the crowd) then their chances are gone. Really this is very very unfair. I'm lost for words to curse this system. Just hoping for the best but already prepared for the worst and concentrating on a different optional for 2015.
Don't know what happened last night. I slept at 12:45 am. Till then it was going well but I was sensing an impending Secularism as well as Feminism debate. Free advices are seldom respected. But take it as something imminent at this time.
- Moderators are nowhere tied to a specific individual or interest. They are here to provide a balanced representation to everyone. -If you look at their acts with a pre-conceived notion that they are biased, then you'll never reach a right conclusion. -Just like Varsha all other insiders are given a free attempt at that serious thread. Mods are no Omnipresent Gods to know what's going on in anyone's heart. How can they differentiate who is right and who is fake. -Most importantly. Does UPSC anywhere included this in their secret rule book that if you win a debate at Forumias then they'll be rewarding you extra 50 marks or so. Try to prioritise. It's high time now that we should get indulged in meaningful discourse. Do the cost benefit analysis yourself.
As far as mods are concerned... With my own experience, even if you dont tell them anything they keep a close eye on the activities here. Myself being a newcomer here but in the past few days the role of @andy133@Thor@ArindamSarkar@Vibin... Is actually kaabile-taareef. I don't believe in flattery but this is the truth people.
Why is igirit deleting all my info on the only info thread. Can't I have info to share? Is it not bias? There are too many Mods for any proper pinning down of responsibility and coordination. But again why do I care? Just saying.
There is something called past records :-P
Another name for it is bias and hence your certificate for mods is not warranted

I wonder what impact our letters had on UPSC...
May be the other way round. But mam, i'm really not sure about this 67. In her subsequent posts varsha says none of the popular optionals are at a disadvantage and except anthro and maths one of the papers of the popular optionals are strictly marked. Samurai bhai also told Pub ad is not butchered. Samurai bhai also told all popular optionals are almost on similar scale in terms of marking. Zappa from orkut (mind you he is not in the forum. frankdamon in this forum is different) told in a private chat to my very close friend that p1 checking is only slightly strict and marks are no way like 2012. My frd infered from that chat that 200s of last year may be 185 this year and they are not abnormal scores like 2012. So, let's see
