Kindly post a thread with a clear title. KINDLE implies nothing unless one opens it. Use relevant words to make the title of your post more succinct.

    Thank You.

here comes Mr. white. aren't you cooking?
  • @UPSC2015 well if you are planning to get a kindle . you can get the new version of kindle . that is "the all new kindle". priced at 5k in snapdeal. its almost as fast as paper white. the only difference between that and the paperwhite is that the paperwhite has glow light which u can use to read in the dark. i think its quite unnecesary to go for the paperwhite when we all have electricity to switch on the light in our houses.
As for the pdf there is a software called calibre. You can use it to convert files. that is convert pdfs to azw. the supported kindle format.
though if u do need a glo in the dark reader u can check kobo glo which is around 12k but i got it in 4k in e -bay which was a good deal otherwise would have gone for the new kindle. It also supports a lot of other formats too. except that u get a bit of limited books as compared to the amazon's kindle.
I usually torrent and then there are other softwares too which is used to remove DRM from books, though haven't treid that, so haven't felt much of a difference in the books offered by the respective stores.

  • e ink readers generally have poor pdf rendering.it is bad for graphs and other technical books.
used converters but not satisfied with the result
i have tried nook simple touch and think this may be the case for kindle
better go for some cheap tablet like acer iconia 830 which will handle pdfs in a better way.it is available for discount in flipkart
    myself getting iconia tommorrow
