edited December 2014 in Miscellaneous
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Sorry for creating a new thread.. As there is virtually no time to even "revise" this topic, I thought members contribute to any topic which you might feel as "important" and were definitely in "news".. Lets keep the list simple. Thanks.

  • I personally think that despite a single odd question from current affairs, culture can mostly be tackled if the static part is done well. Important topics this time as per me :
    1. Mughal Literature (Thanks Nene for mentioning it once over a discussion)
    2. Rani-ki-Vav - UNESCO World Heritage site. / Solanki architecture.
    3. Harappan culture (because Rakhaigarhi is now being touted as the biggest harappan site)
  • Hoysala Architecture.
    - And I have gut feeling that time there will be question from Mughal period, may be literature, art or architecture

    What is Kiratham?

It is play based on Arjuna, who is passinf through bad experiences. This play highlights Arjuna’s encounter with Shiva and Parvati.

    In which category Kiratham falls
    ?

It is a form of Kathakali play.

In this play, the Lord Shiva is disguised as hunter and Parvati as a huntress. They try to convince Arjuna that, his fight againt “Barbarity” was inconquerable.
