edited December 2014 in Miscellaneous
Only 9 days are left. What you guys will suggest can be the best stratergy for these last days, in following areas-
1. Paper2 and Paper 3, considering the fact that these two papers are heavily loaded with current affairs.
2. Geography section of paper 1, if focus shall be current affairs based or static one.
3. For Essay, How best to use Ramaswamy essays.

  • Best strategy- u dont make a strategy in last 9 days..study as much as u can or rather revise as much as u can..
  • Attack is the best defense ;-) @messi_ronaldo
  • I think that you should get into a state of mind where you are able to recollect as many points as you can. Take up some 100 relevant topics and jot down whatever points come to your mind when you first see them. Example : Recommendations of Mor committee. or Ammendments to Juvenile justice act.

Just take a rough piece of paper and quickly jot down 7-8 points regarding them. This way, the relevant material will be at the back of your head when you enter the exam hall.
  • Revise , re revise all important topics and if time permits work on your weak topics . Write important facts , figures on a paper .
  • One question.....how to retain sooooo much? Even after revising its seems tough to recall things :((
  • revise-re revise-sleep-pray-repeat.

If you read 8 points, it's enough if you remember 5 in the exam. Hell, you can even "fabricate" points. Some points will strike you in the hall itself even if you have never thought of them before. Also, the questions aren't asked directly so no one has any prior knowledge of the points that we are expected to write. It's the cumulative effect that matters and not the individual questions that you have learnt. I fabricated data in my GS-3 last year. Still got 77.
  • Thanks @deusAdeeb so many fears...i hope my mind doesn't block in the exam hall...
  • Btw how is pub ad going? You seem to have a good grasp over it
