How to write answers in sociology especially paper-1, as questions are more or less memory based. Do we need to have any systematic answer writing approach or the 5 way method(Introduction,knowledge,understanding, interpretation, conclusion) as discussed in giddens?
OK great!! I read 4-5 initial chapters of Giddens and Harlom...latest edition. I found both of them good for note making. But ignou material is way to good for note making. For understanding purpose and how to write answers in socio these 2 books are best. Ncert is too much concise. I will join vaji 1st Dec batch then I will provide my opinion upon Mahapatra sir notes and all, though his cec lectures are very interesting.

Not in Delhi and working...Today talked to Bibhash Sir on online coaching... Still to decide... Class will start in a months time.. Any inputs.. Can this be done through self study... How do I begin .
@nishant1234 currently i am reading haralmbs and holborn. studied 2 chapters and society in india by ram ahuja. @Akshi I am also not staying in delhi, preparing at home. You can do it on your own without coaching.
I have planned to finish syllabus till february end max. By march i will start preparing for pre as i flunked in prelims 2014. Once we are done with syllabus , we will start practicing at least 2 or 3 questions daily from march to may or june. What are your plans?
@ evil_empire yeah I plan to give at least one reading before Jan end.. Just collected the ignou material ba and started with eso13 two chapters... Thinking whether I should buy the horlombus blue one - whole book or the selected chapters from Xerox shop at Delhi.. What s your say..
@Akshi i have bought that xerox of selected chapters and i found it good. @baali@divine_tunes Group of 4 or 5 people is good. WE can prepare by setting weekly targets and then can discuss the doubts here itself. I have hrlmbs, IGNOU ba notes, ram ahuja book.
Its great now I think we are enough for a group. Someone may make a Google group. We will start from thinkers and unit 1. Simultaneously taking questions. There should not be any fanatcy in setting targets. Keep them short and comprehensive. Rest you may give ur valuable suggestions. Since today is Sunday .it wd be nice we could pin down our targets today itself
