1.Firstly wegner's continental drift theory was not the focal point of analysis as it was a result of possibility he came across while attempting paleoclimatic studies.
2.his assumptions of free float of sial over sima without any evidence seems to be overlooked idea.
3.passive oceanic crust as he advocated was a simply stated fact given that oceanic crust is as dynamic as continental.
4.the effect of tidal and equator ward movement seems to be overstated as if it was the case such strong forces could affect the rotation of earth to standstill, but it is not so.
Wegners theory seems to be argumentative at every point not substantiated scientifically , though it provided a much needed breakthrough and acted as a base for continental drift theory .
