@maxmad There are 230 seats for irs (c&ce) & 150 for irs(it) for this year acc to fatlugs rti in which total seats were 1200 and after that there was increase of 28 seats i.e. 1228 seats total... maybe that 28 seats are of irs (it) though not sure... no concrete info..
What happens when a person already in service gets not so better rank this time and hence decides not to take up service offered this year, what happens to such posts, do they get filed by next rankers. This will be done before final allocation posted on persmin website?

I am guessing once the services are allocated, there is an RSVP period wherein the person can accept the offer or turn it down. If there are vacancies, they get filled up by the person next-in-line.
