You know, not that they are necessarily going to be corrupt- I mean, I wouldn't mind being rewarded handsomely for my efforts as well- but this thing is majorly a PR activity ya.
@Mirza ... Thanks for replying. Apologies for the confusion, I was referring to the LD/CP disability category, which is also termed as PH 1.
@Rigaa ... My friend's medical was pending because it couldn't be completed even on the second attempt. According to him, there are many such people who's medical is pending(includes people who didn't turn up for their rescheduled medicals).

Yes in polite words I would say the same..but come-on do we need to promote something tht we have never been attached with..or have no knowledge abt..its a total farce..and trust me this is how it will start..so i would say avoid it..but again everyone to himself/herself..and Ofcourse no Offence meant..

@skaraorkney thanks for the info..keep us updated if u find, when these medical will be over..i'm sure DOPT will release the Service Allocation the very next day..
@kunalarya I'm sure plenty will attend this year as well. IMHO, we have to stay away from such ego-inflating "felicitation ceremonies". This is just the first step and not the end, after all. Moreover, there is a clear conflict of interest in this case, the same guys who organize this event run a coaching academy as well.
Although, I must admit, I was excited to receive mail from "MIT"

Same here i was excited too..and yes they run coaching classes....and i'm not sure if after receiving the joining(service)..it was against the 'service rules' to attend something which was clearly a sponsored trip for promoting someones Private Interest...maybe @Neanderthal@Mirza@crazyphoton could throw some light....
