  • Itni philosophy? Optional agar Philosophy hai, @KRM , then we jolly well know who our topper is this year!

neanderthal bandhu mera optional engligh lit hai. This was my third attempt and third interview. Pichle dono saal kas ke kat chuka hai hence it is not 'optional' for me to be philosophical about it :) List mein naam hi aa jaye bas
  • @ging7 bhai aapko kisne bataya ki result aaj hai??

aaj aa raha hai kya bhai.....devilzone
  • Hm, read much of Shelley and Alexander Pope, then?
Just curious- and please don't take offence to this- what happened for the past three times? @KRM
    And fourth time lucky? :)

I told earlier also, no one really knows the exact time or date of results. But they generally have a sense of how far the process has come. As it winds down to the last signatures and last rechecks, excitement builds in the office. Even IF does his guesswork based on that only. My relative who works at UPSC seems optimistic that today is the day. SO I am excited.

Few of my friends have their own people working in UPSC and have better info and have actually gone there.

Only thing I know for sure is that the notice board is still not 'clean' so we have at least an hour before the shock. Prepare yourselves!
  • I suggest a beer bar would be a better way to wait it out than stalking the UPSC premises in this heat :) I am up for it if anyone wants to head for one in CP. My office is in Barakhamba road
  • Five of my friends have started staking UPSC office. Planning to stay till 7 there. Info is that the board is still not 'clean', whatever that implies. They might not even think of the board till an hour before results.

In any case, if any of you guys are out there, do head to the sugar cane juice stand. Strength in numbers!

No offence taken @neanderthal. The first time my mains score was so outstanding that I needed 350 on the interview to get IAS (I was 16 marks above mains cut-off-this was in 2011). I ended up with 195 in IMG Khan board and that was that.

Second attempt in 2012 I was a good 50 marks above mains cut off but had a nightmare of an interview with Shree Shree Purushottam Aggarwal- got 165 and didn't make it - that was particularly hard- of the 7 people who took the interview from my college I was the only one who didn't get past it. Totally 3 idiots style dukh hua tha :)

And this was my third attempt- hoping to be third time lucky. Unfortunately I was so disillusioned by 2012 interview that I took up a full time job from August and barely got to study for the mains. 10-12 hours daily at work so that's why I am not particularly hopeful this time around either.

  • called mokhopadhyaya......bola mere pass koi info nahi hai...jab aega tab aaega....aur kaat dia tapak se
