  • @sananthan -

Mere sight of the thread's title sent shivers and thus followed pait (stomach) mein gud-gud L-)
  • Alsooo, putting down my final cutoff prediction here.
    Mains cutoff- 630
    Final cutoff- 835
    IRS- 850
    IPS- 875
    IAS- 905

Bhai, wasn't the General category cutoff something like 575?
So, what's next on forumias? Trading in dogecoin to join the prelims test series?
Haha don't know what it was. Just playing a hunch :D
  • Battees din baaki...
  • mains cut off is almost confirmed to be 600 for general.. its not 575 as some guys are speculating in the other thread.
I think 800 will be the overall cut off and anything above 890 should be good to get IAS

    Mine predicted score is 630+225=855

I am expecting mains cut off around 600.

Okay, didn't know about the 600 thing being confirmed :/
  • Considering 568 as mains cut off which many have confirmed and extrapolating using last year's cut-off i arrive at following figures.

    Mains: 700 + 236/300 (in 2012)

    So this year cutoff: 568 + (236*275/300) = 784.33 ~ 785

    Adjusting 10 marks for 100 extra seats this year: 785 - 10 = 775

    For IAS:

Assumption I: Last year 1013 which is 313 away from mains cutoff = 104.33% of interview marks

    This year: 568+ (104.33% of 275) = 854.90 ~ 855

Assumption II: Last year 1013 which is 77 away from final cutoff = 11% of mains cutoff marks

    This year: 775 + (11% of 568) = 837.48 ~ 838

Assumption III: Last year 1013 which is 77 away from final cutoff = 8.22% of final cutoff marks

    This year: 775 + (8.22% of 775) = 838.70 ~ 839

So this year my calculation says 775 for cutoff and around 840-850 for IAS.

Mid-table scrum will be heavily crowded.

who are those who have confirmed 568 ?

Has UPSC declared the date for results? Sorry, I don't know their protocol well enough. Don't the results arrive undeclared?

who are those who have confirmed 568 ?
I had read on orkut and forumias. I don't rem the names but bond/zappa and many other fellow aspirants were very sure about their information. Even I don't believe that 100% but as many have said it, I guess it might be true.

Well whatever may be if its 20-30 marks higher we can add that to the expected cut off.
