Hey how long did it take you for it? Was the equivalence certificate absolutely necessary?
Since I don't have a copy of my degree attested by the consulate, can I just take my original degree to their office and walk out with it, instead of mailing it to them and waiting them to mail it back?
@KaranJ I was (wrongly) informed that it would be completed on the same day. IF you visit with all the documents you need and IF they don't have any objections, it should be done within a week.
However, they tend to have some objection or the other and require some document which you don't have! So it took about 1 month for me. It really depends on your specific case, but beware that it could take over one month.
No need to carry an attested copy if you can give them the original in person. They will verify the copy themselves in that case.
