  • Does anyone know any other websites or weekly columns in newspapers similar to "All You Wanted to Know About" - explaining a contemporary issue entirely in one article - especially for Economics and International Relations?

    Something like this article: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/02/19/up-to-speed-what-s-going-on-in-ukraine.html

Have you ever subscribed to or followed HinduBusinessLine? The editorial and columns, on a cursory glance, seem to be better than thehindu not only in terms of quality but relevance as well - full of economics, agriculture, s&t, int affairs and less politics. But it may be a premature conclusion looking at only some editions. @-)

@Siddharth I too subscribed to the editorials and columns of Business Line only last week, trying to revamp my reading list for the next attempt. That's how I noticed this particular column. Yeah, first impressions are good. Actually I was trying to replace Business Standard; the editorials are relevant but the columns are way too off, speaking strictly from an exam point of view.

On a lighter note, Business Line scores over Hindu in one particular aspect: no articles on abolishing Capital Punishment :)

I am not able to find these links under "today's paper" on the website.

True. Perhaps it's only a web edition thing or something like that. Anyway, you can find them using the archive button at the bottom of page, it's available in Opinion section:

True. However, there's a bigger issue with BL - only chennai edition available for all India which means no newspaper copies in delhi without delay, if one is not accustomed to web edition :(
  • @skylax @Siddharth
Any Idea how to download the previous versions of "All you wanted to know about" - I mean under which sections / sub-sections on BL site.
Same query for "ET in the classroom" previous articles , How to find them ?

tried many ways for both the above but could not get success in getting all previous articles for any of them

    @gks
"All you wanted to know about" column has become regular only in the last few weeks so there is not much you can hope to get.

As for "ET in the classroom", it has not been updated for long, if not discontinued. Thankfully, you can find a lot of the old articles on insightsonindia site.

Thank you, i also went through them at insight but most of them were around 1 year old so i thought to find the rest ones upto dec 2013. But while going to ET site and digging under headings and sub-headings i could not find any specific 'TAB' directing to 'ET in the classroom' articles collection. Even if if open the paper for a specific day and search 'classroom' on webpage, then also i could not find those articles, and i did it for 15 continuous days for nov and dec months.

If you find any way please tell me too.
Thanks again for your early response.

i read the hindu and IE print editions, could you please suggest any feature for these two newspapers which is available on web and not in print editions and is useful for us, of course.
Also any other same stuff in HT and BS.
:-) i know it is too much to ask for
  • @gks As I said, ET in the classroom column hasn't been updated for quite some time. And yes it doesn't have a separate section, so digging is very difficult :)

I read only web editions so I won't know the difference between web and print edition. You say you read HT? Anything good there? Any special sections, columnists?
