Movies on Indian history and independence movement

are there any good movies on indian history and independence movement? i tend to learn better by movies

i don't want a list of movies which are patriotic or biased towards indians .preferably a politically neutral movie.

possibly by americans? as i feel movies by indians will be biased towards indians and so will british films towards british. i remember the history books from my school which were very biased towards india. like showing all indians involved in indian independence of high moral character ,which kind of pissed me off
rather then focus on peoples intentions,thoughts and logic for taking decisions.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar by Jabbar Patel – It manages to give the viewer a sense of what the man fought for and how the debate of reservations in quota for castes ought to be understood (in a way).

There is also a bit about the dynamic between Gandhi and Ambedkar, both working for the greater good of the collective with visions to lay a better future for the country. overall, the movie is a good watch if you are looking for first half 20th century Indian history movies.
