Has anyone opted for Statistics as their optional? Also does anyone know any successful aspirant who passed with Stats? Any lead would be really helpful.
My personal feeling is that UPSC clubs Maths and Statistics together for scaling . So even though they are different subjects but for scaling they could be merging the sample space of Maths and Statistics because of low sample size of statistics . I may be wrong but I find no other possible reason why Mr Naveen Kumar easily qualified RBI (with stellar marks in statistics ) but could not make it to Civils .
