Was India England Match of 30 June fixed ??

We wasted a precious day to watch the match. For what ?? Poor batting of Dhoni and Jadhav, 'piece of cake' full tosses of Shami. Only one six in the entire Indian run chase, on a ground where one boundary was merely 55 metres. That too in the last over !! Bloody hell !!

Well now we know that this match was actually fixed. YouTube is replete with videos proving that this match was actually fixed !!

P.S. Dhoni should take complete retirement now and manage his Amrapali real estate business. He has no intent left on the cricket ground. He is dropping catches and leaving balls behind the wicket and playing in one's and twos with bat.

I am glad to know that Indian cricket team’s image is such strong that no one is able to believe that it has lost to England and as a result they are blaming that India lost intentionally just to keep pakistan out of the world cup.

Any serious cricket fan would know that India didn’t lose intentionally. Rohit and Virat made a good partnership. After that when required rate went up they hit good shots as well. There were multiple occasions when players hit three 4s in a row. In later part of the inning the ball was not coming well on the bat and England fielded really really well. England saved at least five 4s of Hardik Pandya just by fielding well. They almost saved 25+ runs just by their exceptional fielding. In later part of the inning, Hardik Pandya tried to hit the ball but he couldn’t. One could see that Dhoni and Pandya were trying desperately to hit the ball real hard but couldn’t do so because the wicket became slow in later part of the inning.

So to say that India didn’t want to win the match would be naive assumption. Those who have watched the match live yesterday would know how hard and desperately Indian batsman tried to hit the balls. Only when they knew that now its almost impossible to win, they went for improving the net run rate instead of winning the match. To improve net run rate, wickets in hand would be necessary. Net run rate is necessary because if bangladesh manages to beat India by good margin then India could be in trouble. India could not take the risk because bangladesh can be an unpredictable team at times. Remember they chased 320+ runs in just 41 overs in this world cup only. So India went for improving the run rate when match was out of the hand.

If England or any other team would be chasing the same total against India on the same pitch, they would have lost by more than a margin of 100 runs.

Last but not the least, it wasn’t a do or die match for India. If it was, then Virat would have never throw his wicket like that and India would have tried more in first power play and in other areas just like England did yesterday. It was a do or die match for them and they showed the desperation on the pitch, esp in fielding. One could see that English players are putting their heart and soul to win this game at any cost, the catch of Rishabh Pant was one such instance. I never saw England playing with this desperation. They deserved to win.

one needs to agree to the fact that england are a much better team..they have power hitters,all rounders and bowlers as well...India needed initial wickets and when they didnt get it,they were always in trouble after that...or if virat had been lucky ,he could have won the toss and batted first...this is just rubbish propaganda esp pak media....england team are overall superior in terms of arsenal and options they have up on their sleeves...
its good actually we got defeated at this stage and know england strngth and weakness better...coz semifinal looks like would be between the two only as now India probably wont finish at the top and if england wins against nz they would finish third..

I beg to differ over the postulation that England is a better team. It is not, by any standard. Jofra Archer bowls like a benched Indian Ranji bowler from Haryana. Joe Root and Chris Woakes show only average consistency. Chris Woakes is nowhere near the stature of Bumrah. Ben Stokes is the only decently consistent player in their side, who also gives in 100%.

Football is the flagship game in England and Cricket is like a forced after-thought. So much so that cricket stadiums in UK are built with low seating capacities. The first result Google gives on searching "Old Trafford" is the Manchester United's football ground. We only please ourselves by calling Manchester's cricket ground as Old Trafford !! Cricket strives hard to attract funding in England unlike India. Cricket is considered to be a donation to the third world by British supremacists.

England team should have been decimated by India, easily. Pakistan defeated English. India should have done it too. But I can't fathom what made Shami bowl those wide full tosses in slog overs, or made India choose Rishabh Pant over Dinesh Kartik or made Dhoni take singles in last 30 balls. None of this makes any sense. Except that there was something going on behind the scenes !!
