In my opinion you must leave SDM for IAS IPS IFS (Foreign) and IRS only.
And IRS is simply a bank manager job with a different designation.

irs is for those who want painfully easy life. some customs officers i know consider state DSP better. And they too equate irs with bank manager, if b***** are kept out of the equation. just saying.
