news says " 20-year old"..so how can a 20-year old not clear upsc exam?
  • In my humble opinion, you should just share various suicide prevention helpline numbers, if you have them. These kinds of threads often lose their purpose because the only advice people have is not to take the exam seriously. The people who contemplate suicide already know this and still end their lives.

It'd be better if they speak to people who deal with such cases daily and know how to talk them out of it. Again, just my opinion.

May be stress due to comparison with fellow so called smarter aspirants. Whatever, a forward looking discourse needed

People take LIFE seriously.....it's not just about one exam
That's why sometimes selected people also commit suicide

Too often such people do not not accept themselves in need of help. Conversations with benevolent strangers here with no strings attached with their life can help.one of them can be the person we think is very happy too. My opinion

the only solution for stress is to folliw d path of buddha i.e " shed desires to overcome sufferings"

however, people are so deeply absorbed in materialism that they are not ready to shed their desires and hence the sufferings and suicides follow

people themselves are the cause of their misery

Agreed. But at the same time we should always behave humbly particularly with new aspirants. People show off knowledge and how in few days they mastered every subjects.
New people here starts to think they can't clear this exam at this stage itself as in the Sucide news.
  • in my opinion
    avoid comparison with fellow aspirants
    and
Don't start relationships just for the sake of satisfying one's harmones

and create a back up after 2 or 3 yrs into. preparations

if one gets influenced by others, then one is foolish enough, wisdom is needed to lead a stressless life

one shd never compare onself with others..everyone is unique and hence comparison is utter foolishness
