Is wearing an arm sling allowed in mains in case of injury?

Dear All,
Have a small request for info from all experienced players out there. I have hurt my shoulder recently. It's a partial ligament tear. I am unable to write without am arm sling and even with it, i am able to write very slowly. Is it possible to get permission for wearing arm sling into mains hall?? The best case is to write with a pillow under elbow. But would such a request be entertained? If yes, any clue about how to proceed? Thanks in advance.

Wanted to know the same I have cervical and lumbar problem and want to carry a pillow. Guess we’d have to call upsc to ask. A friend told me 2016 a guy carried pillow but because of cheating thing in 2017 they’re being a bit strict
  • Its better to call upsc or drop them a mail immediately. their response can be taken as proof at the center.
  • @Alright that seems a good idea. I am just afraid, if they refuse over email, I would have no chance of representation. @kritikam15 I agree that cervical and lumbar defensive diseases are too serious issues. But ligament injury is somewhat different. I simply can't write without a physical support either sling or pillow. Any others have had similar experiences? Kindly share. @Neyawn Sir, kindly throw some light on best option.

At UPSC Center, there are people who carry a pillow. So I have seen that happen. More than once, and more than one person. Do carry a medical advice for the same though. That was at least five years ago.

With so many cases of cheating in exams, there may be slight issues.

Do write a mail and get an approval for the same.

Do not think it will be and can be rejected.

Sling isn’t something that can be asked to take off, so that , in my opinion , does not even require an approval.

Agree, It would be inhumane to even doubt in this case.
