  • Also, as always, thanks for the superb article @Neyawn sir :)

However, i am going to be ignoring the part about not giving tests and writing three answers everyday, i feel simulating the entire exam process is extremely necessary to build stamina which is necessary for mains.

Here is my schedule, thankfully i have been able to keep up with it so far.

Lagta hai abki baar 50 ke under la ke hi maniyega....
Mujhe toh lag raha hai iss baar rank bhi nahi aayega mera  Forget top 50.

Will just give my best and uske baad bye bye UPSC. Not taking eol or giving this exam ever again. :sunglasses:
With that kind of schedule, your pessimism is stinking :p

Yaar reverse jinxing ka concept along with no expectations of fruits for labour has been my mantra since class I was a kid… has worked well so far. Let's see what happens this time.

Arre chill. All this jinx reverse crap is minds creation. But your V5 use ka advice changed my paper presentation largely (and beautifully). Thanks!
  • @ForumIAS You should consider creating an app for iOS. Just a suggestion. Thanks
  • I tried using pens like V5,V7,trimex,butterflow and few others but none could suit my requirements. Finally i settled on Octo Glide Gel pen and it worked wonders for me.But I needed to fix its grip for better cushioning as i overshoot word limit by great margins. So I did this. What i liked most about this pen is its smooth flow and good colour and quality ink.Afterall,a good pen is your best friend in exam hall.
  • Indian jugaad ...hehe

anything goes as long as it works
  • In my personal opinion after stumbling over a lot pens and practicing with them. For me its pilot v10grip. The pen writes smoothly, and since is a 1mm tip it helps me especially with managing my poor handwriting. The ink does not bleed through on a normal a4 paper and I have heard the paper of mains copies is thicker than that.
The only con I see is poor water resistance of the ink. It can wash off to an extent should your copy gets washed in transport or the checker spills chai samosa on it, the possibility of which looks remote.

Moreover it's a 10 rupees pen...I wonder why not many people use it ☺
