I am a relative newbie in the UPSC world.I am a working professional currently living in Gurgaon. First, a little background about myself. I attempted this year and got 42 marks only in the prelims exam. I had joined Vision test series but mostly couldn't attempt it due to me being not serious and also, lack of exposure towards UPSC world. However, this time I am preparing seriously and hence, I am thinking about joining a weekend batch. I wanted to ask all of you guys about this, is this strategy sound or should I do something else according to you guys? How important according to you all is the need for competitive environment to bring out the best in you? Please help me.
Second, I wanted to enquire about quality of coaching institutes in terms of syllabus covered, quality of teachers, doubt clearing sessions, exposure to competitive environment etc. Which institute is best?
Third, I wanted to ask about which coaching institutes are near to Gurgaon, is there something in South Delhi I.e. hauz khas or Saket area? If there is, is the quality similar to coaching in Karol Bagh and if it's not, will joining such an institute be worth it?
